Since the age of three, Gillian has loved to play her violin. 

She has been involved with over a dozen organizations such as Semiahmoo Strings, the Delta Youth Orchestra, the Surrey Youth Orchestra, UBC small and large ensembles, the Okanagan Pops Orchestra, the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Sinfonietta, Tafelmusik, Plastic Acid: A Rock Orchestra, the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

In May of 1999, Gillian was invited to take part in an international music festival in Hot Springs, Arkansas. During her three weeks in the Southern State, Gillian recorded three CD’s with the Hot Springs International Orchestra on the Naxos label. In 2001, Gillian performed with the Il Ruggiero ensemble; a group of baroque performers based in Bologna, Italy. After graduating from UBC, Gillian performed with a string quartet on Princess Cruises for 2 years.

Recently, Gillian has been focusing on studio work with bands and movie soundtracks.  Through a random encounter, Gillian formed a relationship with 604 records and has worked with the following bands; Lillix, 16mm and Hedley. She also enjoys working on indie projects

Since 1995, Gillian has been arranging and booking string quartets for weddings from the Fraser Valley to Whistler.

Repertoire ranges from the famous Pachebel’s Canon to contemporary pop hits from Phantom of the Opera to the Beatles.
